Allandale Mansion – Rental Facilities
Allandale Mansion, the “White House of Kingsport”, is a magnificent location for any special day. Whether it’s a wedding, civic event, family gathering, group meeting, community gathering or party – Allandale is the place to be.
Allandale was originally a private residence built for Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Brooks and designed by Allen Dryden, Sr. The original estate encompassed several hundred acres, and
Mr. Brooks was well known for the prizewinning black angus cattle raised there. Upon his death in 1969, Mr. Brooks left his exquisite home, including many of its furnishings, and 25 acres to the City of Kingsport. Provisions of the donation stated that the house must be maintained in the same manner as when its former owners were alive, and it must be devoted to public use.
Today, Allandale holds true to the wishes of the Brooks family by providing an elegant gathering place and quality services to customers. In addition to the services provided through the City of Kingsport, Friends of Allandale support many endeavors to enrich Allandale. Together, they are committed to making sure Allandale’s rich history is preserved and that this community facility will always be a source of great pride for Kingsport. Enjoy a stroll on the verdant Grand Lawn. View the Georgian-style architecture of the master house, where 95 percent of the furnishings are original. Sit under the shade of a sturdy oak. Fish in one of the ponds. Read a book while listening to the gentle waters flowing at the Heron Dome. Experience the echoes of history in one of the rustic barns. Allandale is a bouquet of sensory experiences, filling visitors with warm impressions of luxury in a simpler time. Visit and rent Allandale to make your dream event a reality.
