Recreation Centers
The Recreation Centers mission is to meet the diverse needs and interests
of both the immediate community and city residents at large, through implementation of
various programs and activities ranging from educational to recreational in nature.

Borden Park Recreation Center and V. O.
Dobbins Sr, Complex both offer ongoing
structured and low-organized programs, arts and crafts, sports, after-school study hours, and other
activities and events as opportunity and interest warrant. It is the aim
of the Recreation Centers to provide quality leisure time events, programs and activities for all youth and adults in the Borden Park
and Riverview communities, as
well as other surrounding neighborhoods.
Indoor Facilities:
2 billiard tables,
various board games, ping pong table, foosball table.
Outdoor Facilities:
17 spacious acres, 6 lighted tennis
courts, full court basketball, various playground apparatus for kids, handicapped accessible play area for kids,
7 picnic shelters with barbeque grills, fitness/walking trails, small field for pickup softball games, disc golf games.
